Matriculants Encouraged To Apply For NSFAS Funding

Because the 2024 National Senior Certificate (NSC) examinations kick-off, Higher{Education and Training Minister, Dr Nobuhle Pamela Nkabane, has reminded all matriculants to seize the opportunity to make an application for funding from the National Student Financial Aid Scheme (NSFAS).

"The application window will shut on fifteen December 2024, and there are actually not many days left to post applications. Suitable students are urged to apply immediately to secure fiscal help for their post-school education," Nkabane said.

Nkabane extended well wishes to all matriculants, who sat for the National Senior Certificate Exams, with learners writing languages, English and Afrikaans Paper 3.

Nkabane claimed this pivotal moment marks the fruits of several years of effort and encourages the Class of 2024 to approach their examinations with perseverance and confidence.

With Just over 880 000 candidates, including 727 121 full-time and 155,215 part-time candidates from across South Africa sit for this year's matric tests, throughout South Africa, Basic Education Minister, Siviwe Gwarube, has assured the public from the department's preparedness to administer the exams effortlessly.

Nkabane highlighted a selection of chances offered inside the Post-School Education more info and Training (PSET) system, that is open up to all matriculants in search of even more education and skills development.

The PSET system involves:

• Community Education and Training (CET) colleges: Providing skills development and general education for students who want here to more info carry on learning.
